CPD Accredited Training
At Staffordshire Women’s Aid, we have been running CPD accredited training for Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence for years to make positive change in our community through education and continued partnership working. This is because statistics show that survivors report having a range of additional support needs including mental health, physical health, alcohol and/or drugs or offending. (Women’s Aid, 2024)

- Overview of the legal framework, statutory guidance and local protocols
- Improve practice in responding to child victims of sexual abuse
- Importance of multi-agency working and cooperation
Working With Survivors
Half day
- Understanding of the mission, values, and support framework of Staffordshire Women’s Aid
- Learn how to recognise the importance and need for trauma informed practice
- Understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding practices
- Develop effective and compassionate communication skills
- Explore the importance of maintaining clear, respectful, and professional boundaries

Did you know?
Between April 2020 and March 2021, there were 5,395 women and girls who had attendances at NHS trusts or GPs in England where FGM was identified. (ONS, 2021)
In 2021, since the pandemic began, 45% of women reported that they, or a woman they know, has experienced a form of VAWG. (UN Women, 2021)
There were over 200,000 offences related to child physical abuse recorded by police in England, Wales and Northern Ireland in 2022/2023 (NSPCC, 2024)
